All East of India products are designed with love and care at their studio in Folkestone and made in Bali by a ‘family team’ they have worked with since 1991. The team now employ numerous other friends and extended family members to satisfy demand. This creates sustainable employment for artisans who are able to earn a good living using traditional skills passed down through the generations.

East of India are always mindful of their environmental impact, wood used in today’s products come from carefully managed forestry using trees planted no more than 10 years ago. Each tree harvested is replaced with another, which in turn will be ready to use 10 years after planting.
